Join us for an unforge-able journey through Mexico’s premier wine region, the stunning Valle de Guadalupe.
Known for its award-winning wines, excepBonal Baja Med cuisine, and relaxed rural charm, Valle has become a
beloved desBnaBon for wine lovers from around the world.
Travel with trip leaders who are seasoned visitors and whom have built lasBng friendships with local
winemakers. Support the ongoing mission of Tucson-Mexico Sister CiBes through this enriching cultural
exchange, while also generaBng funds for organizaBon.
Why Valle de Guadalupe?
Over 85% of all Mexican wine is produced in Baja California, and the heart of that producBon lies in Valle de
Guadalupe. Just 35 miles long, the scenic Ruta del Vino features more than 200 wineries, nestled between
Ensenada’s coastline and majesBc mountain landscapes.
What’s Included:

  • 6 winery visits over 3 days (3 will be exclusive VIP tastngs with winemakers/owners)
  • Charcuterie boards included with tasBngs (when available)
  • 1 lunch + 1 dinner included
  • 3 nights hotel stay at the Baja Inn in Ensenada (double occupancy)

Day 1 (Friday, October 3)
7 a.m.: Caravan from Tucson, AZ (or Phoenix) to the border at Tecate

  • Pit stop in Yuma about 10 a.m., then another 2 ½ hours to the Tecate border crossing, arriving around 1–2 p.m.
    Safe and secure parking is available a block from the Tecate border
  • Cross the border on foot, where a private van and chauffeur will be waiting
  • The van will remain with us for the en#re stay in Mexico.

3 p.m.: Viñedo Solar Fortún for wine and lunch
5 p.m.: Check in to Baja Inn-Hotel Cortez, Av Adolfo López Mateos 1089 (at First Street) Our hotel is centrally located in the tourist area, where there is oTen live music right in front of the hotel and many places to explore on foot, including the waterfront.

Day 2: (Saturday)

Morning free in Ensenada
12 p.m. Vinos Lechuza
1:30 p.m.: Rondo de Valle VIP tas#ng
3:30 p.m.: Cava Maciel VIP Ver#cal Tasting6 p.m.: Dinner 6 p.m.: Dinner
9 p.m.: Return to hotel

Day 3: (Sunday)

Morning free in Ensenada
12 p.m.: Trevista Vinicula/Vineyards VIP tas#ng with tapas pairings
2:30 p.m.: TBD another winery
6 p.m.: Return to hotel & group dinner

Day 4: (Monday)

Pick up at 8-9 a.m.
Breakfast at Taqueria El Trailero
Return to Tecate, where chauffeur leaves us right at border to cross on foot
You may bring as much wine as you can carry when crossing back into the U.S.
After picking up cars, we will caravan back to Tucson (or Phoenix).
